Bretagne Pole Naval appears on major events in 2011

The cluster Bretagne Pole Naval promotes and represents the companies and the shipbuilding industry in Brittany Region during major events

To contribute to the development of activities, the cluster Bretagne Pole Naval promotes and represents the companies and the shipbuilding industry in Brittany Region during major events for shipbuilding, repair, and marine renewable energy activities. Many contacts were made with agents and ship-owners at international exhibitions and activities are conducted continuously to promote infrastructure and regional naval industries.

In continuation of these actions set for 4 years, the group will represent the companies, skills and expertise in international trade shows. In 2011, BPN will attend 5 of these exhibitions:

For Renewable Marine Energies Marines

From 14 to 17 March 2011, BPN will participate with Bretagne International and Pôle Mer Bretagne at the show EWEA 2011 in Brussels. EWEA formerly known as the EWEC is the annual European event that combines a huge exhibition with 400 professional exhibitors from Europe, North America and Asia and a program of conferences on key topics for Wind energy market, particularly offshore wind, which is a challenge for the shipbuilding sector in Western France  EWEA expects 10,000 visitors from over 60 countries.

From 29 November to 1 December 2011, Bretagne Pole Naval will also attend Offshore Wind 2011, with Bretagne International. The show is organized by EWEA (European Wind Energy Association) in Amsterdam. The biennial exhibition for the offshore wind's main concern is to promote and develop the implementation of offshore wind farms, with the current situation in France of the tender that the French State should start soon on the implementation of installed offshore wind farms

For port facilities and shipbuilding & repair

For the second time, BPN will attend the international exhibition for professionals in the maritime industry, NOR-SHIPPING, from 24 to 27 May 2011 in Oslo. In the France pavilion federated by Ubifrance a 15m ² booth will allow member companies to display the skills of the Shipbuilding and Repairs in the Region. This is also an opportunity to interact with professionals through a program of conferences, including the prospective "next generation shipping”.

From 8 to 11 November 2011, at EUROPORT in Rotterdam, Bretagne Pole Naval exhibit under French flag federated by GICAN. This biennial event which hosts nearly 30,000 visitors will be an opportunity to promote the region's port facilities and know-how of the industries of Brittany. Europort is a technological showcase for the maritime industry.
